RYA VHF/SRC Radio
Learn to use a marine VHF radio correctly and legally, with the Short Range Certificate exam at the end.
The RYA Marine Radio SRC course covers routine calling, distress alerts, DSC, emergency procedures and the phonetic alphabet — everything you need to operate a VHF radio on a UK-registered or RYA-taught yacht.
At the end of the day you sit the SRC exam, which is the minimum qualification required to hold a VHF radio on most British-flagged vessels and a standard prerequisite for higher RYA qualifications.
